Atmospheric Monastery during Advent

Spend some wonderful hours in Eberbach Monastery. Between delicacies and wines from Eberbach Monastery Winery, special handicrafts, fine spirits, jewelry, jams, chutneys, ceramic art and decorations await you at our fine, small Christmas market right outside the monastery door with a view of the imposing basilica and the festively lit Christmas tree - much of it for a good cause.

Let yourself be inspired, relax, enjoy a few pleasant hours and take a break from everyday life in combination with a visit to the monastery and the PLAYMOBIL world tour.

The Christmas market is open on the second and third Advent weekends, December 7 & 8 and 14 & 15, 2024, on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission is free.

Please note that for the most part only cash payment is possible at the stands.

FFH presenter Boris Meinzer reads in the chapter house

Free program highlight on 7 & 8 December, 3 p.m.

His best-known character is the FFH dummy questioner. Boris Meinzer, comedian, freelance comedy writer and producer, has been delighting listeners of Hesse's most popular radio station HIT RADIO FFH since 2002. Together with his colleague Dirk Haberkorn, he has already won the German Radio Prize twice in the “Best Comedy” category, awarded by the Grimme jury. Boris is also on the road in Hessen with his program. In the monastery, Boris Meinzer will read from his children's book “Specht Rupprecht, der kleine Helfer vom Weihnachtsmann”, which will be published by Societäts-Verlag in 2025. The Christmas story is about the friendship between a little bird and Santa Claus. Boris Meinzer takes on all the roles in the live readings.
