Dear guests,

we welcome you daily for a visit from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on saturdays, sundays and public holidays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The monastery closes at 4:30 p.m. on October 5th.
Last admission is half an hour before closing time.

The Vinothek & WineBar1136 is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Where enjoyment is at home

The former wine press, attached to the east of the early Gothic hospital since approx. 1920, now houses the wine store and monastery shop with their diverse range of wines and goods. Our colleagues in the wine store are ready to provide our guests with expert advice. Parking spaces can be found directly in front of the wine store.

Riesling from the best vineyards

The focus of Kloster Eberbach's high-calibre wine and sparkling wine range is on Rieslings from the most prized vineyards of the Rheingau and the Hessian Bergstrasse. In addition, the Pinot Noirs from the Höllenberg occupy a special place. A thoughtful selection of valuable articles around the theme of "Monastery, Wine and Pleasure" is waiting for you to discover. Books, writing sets, souvenirs … a great reminder of your visit will be in our range.

The exceptional interior design and the successful conversion of the listed building create a unique atmosphere.

Wine Bar

Enjoy a wide variety of wines directly on site at Kloster Eberbach in the WINEBAR 1136. A glass of Riesling in your hand on the terrace in front of our wine store is a great way to take in the scenery. The wine bar is open daily, and we look forward to your visit.

Steinberg Riesling (2018)

The Steinberg has been the sole property of the Eberbach monastery since 1239. Its soils are characterised by Taunus slate, loess-loam and quartzite and are sometimes decisive for the expressive character of the wine.

Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Spätburgunder (2018)

VDP. GROSSES GEWÄCHS®

The reclamation of this steep slope in the 11th century is still born in its name, Rottland. "Rotten" is Middle High German for "clearing". The Pinot Noir vines growing here produce a deep and intense red wine.
