Playground “Hortus Ludi”

Since spring 2020, the “Hortus Ludi” playground has been waiting for explorers of all ages. On the 1,150 square meter site next to the monastery tavern, 473 cubic meters of earth were moved and 62.5 tons of stones were used. This resulted in a seating wall made of sandstone blocks, an impressive slide, a water pump, a monastery replica station, and much more. In keeping with the spirit of sustainability practiced and promoted at the monastery, 130 square meters of natural stone paving from the existing stock was reused.
