Hortus Ludi
Since spring 2020, the Hortus Ludi play garden has been waiting for young and old discoverers. On the 1150 square metre area next to the monastery tavern, which was previously home to an ageing playground, 473 cubic metres of earth were moved and 62.5 tonnes of stones were laid. This resulted in a wall to sit on made of sandstone blocks, plus an impressive slide, water pump, monastery replica and much more. In keeping with the sustainability practised and promoted at the monastery, 130 square metres of natural stone paving from the existing building were reused.
Boniface, the monastery mouse
For all young monastery guests, we will have a free copy of our exciting and educational monastery rally with Boniface the monastery mouse available at the monastery ticket office from the summer onwards. This allows young guests to explore and experience our tour and its historical rooms in an entertaining way.
