Church weddings

An impressive place to say yes to God

Our almost 900 year old basilica is a beautiful place to tie the knot before God.
The unique acoustics and the dignified charisma of our monastery church captivate hundreds of thousands of visitors year after year and convey unforgettable impressions.
The Evangelical parish of Oestrich-Winkel is responsible for Protestant weddings. The church wedding is to be registered in the parish office there.
The wedding ceremony should be performed by the pastor of the parish of the wedding couple.
Please note that in the months of July and August the monastery church is only available to a very limited extent for weddings due to the concert seating of the Rheingau Music Festival.

Free weddings

Of course, you can also arrange your marriage individually and according to your wishes within the framework of a free wedding ceremony. Our magnificent premises and beautiful outdoor facilities offer the right ambience: in the romantic prelate garden, on the orangery lawn, in the wine cellar or the basilica, to name just a few examples.
