This wine tasting isn’t just about the wines—it’s also about genuine, personal moments. Our wine merchant will introduce five wines that are particularly close to his heart and take you on a journey into his world at Kloster Eberbach. See the winery through his eyes and discover it in a whole new way. Every drop speaks of the passion and pride that goes into what is created here.

Wine Tasting: The World of Spätlese
We warmly invite you to a special wine tasting at our wine shop to celebrate 250 years of Spätlese.
To mark this special anniversary, we will be offering five exclusive Spätlese wines from our winery for tasting. The tasting will be accompanied by expert commentary. Pretzels and water will be served. The event lasts about an hour and a half and offers insights not only into the diversity of our wines but also into the nearly 250-year history of Spätlese. Learn more about the typical characteristics of this Prädikat wine.
Take this opportunity to experience a culinary journey through 250 years of Spätlese tradition. We look forward to your participation!
Tickets for this special experience are available both online and at the monastery ticket office.

In Vino Eberbach
Taste four select wines from our winery, accompanied by an expert presentation. The event lasts about an hour and offers insights not only into the diversity of our wines but also into the winery’s 900-year history. Learn more about the character of the various vineyard sites and the typical characteristics of our grape varieties.

Experience the diversity of the historic vineyards in our unique region. Enjoy five exquisite VDP.ORTSWEINE and VDP.ERSTE LAGE® wines, presented by a knowledgeable staff member who will give you an insight into our current selection. We’ll serve water and pretzels to accompany the tasting.
If you’d like to make your wine experience even more exclusive, you can book a sparkling wine reception—including a non-alcoholic alternative—for an additional €50.00.

Taste five exquisite wines from the VDP.ERSTE LAGE® and VDP.GROSSE LAGE® classifications while our wine experts tell you all about the centuries-old history of viticulture and winemaking. Get to know the vineyards of the Rheingau and experience the region in a whole new way.
You’ll receive exclusive access to our unique Bismarck Room (max. 17 people), where Imperial Chancellor Otto von Bismarck once tasted our wines. We’ll serve pretzels and water with your tasting.
For an additional fee of €50.00, you can book a sparkling wine reception, which also includes a non-alcoholic option.

We would be happy to make that happen for you. Upon request, you can sample wines from our current selection and rare vintages from our cellar. You can also choose from a variety of locations for your wine tasting. Immerse yourself in the multifaceted history of the winery and learn more about the secrets and art of winemaking and the uniqueness of our region.

Open wine tastings
On Your Own
Drop by anytime to enjoy our wines and sample them at our bar. Our wine shop team will provide you with the wines along with a tasting list featuring interesting information. In addition to open tastings, we offer 3- and 5-wine tastings, available as both Riesling and Burgundy tastings. We’ll also provide you with a brief overview of the wines and additional details. Taste the wines on our balcony and in front of WineBar1136."
