For the good cause
Social commitment has a nine-century tradition at Kloster Eberbach. Since 2001, the Kloster Eberbach winery has been supporting regional, non-profit or charitable institutions with the charity wine proceeds, which now total 91,468 euros. 100% of the proceeds are donated to a good cause. We will continue this tradition and donate a unique specimen from our treasury in 2023 as well.
The Charity Wine
1943 Assmannshäuser Höllenberg Pinot Noir Natur
The 80-year-old Pinot Noir is one of the best in the world. Grown in the middle of World War 2 and vinified to perfection by cellarmaster Ewald Schug under the most difficult conditions. The 43er Höllenberg is ruby red with intense berry aroma. The pleasant fullness, warmth and perfect harmony impress every Pinot Noir connoisseur. The trade magazine "Weinwisser" wrote in 2021: "[...] The best Pinot Noir I have ever had the pleasure to taste [...]". 20/20 points.
The charity recipient
Kinder- und Jugendfarm Oestrich-Winkel e.V.
Children are our future. The Kinder- und Jugendfarm e.V. in neighboring Oestrich-Winkel does valuable work with its volunteers. It offers young people, regardless of their social and economic circumstances, a colorful and varied range of activities that gives them the opportunity to develop self-confidence and a sense of community.
Specifically, the proceeds will go to the project of the urgently needed "renovation of the construction trailer and reconstruction of the workshop". Here, children and young people can develop their motor skills and learn manual skills.
